Manatee County, Florida · Fuze Inc. · Licensed roofing, electrical & building contractor
Getting a new roof in Manatee with solar on it? The panels have to come off and go back on under their own permit, by a contractor licensed for solar. We do that work with our own crew, pull the Manatee permit, put every roof attachment on new, and hand you a photo report when the system is back online.
How permits work here
Manatee County Building Division, Development Services Department
Unincorporated Manatee files solar and electrical permits through the county's Accela Online Services portal; inspections are scheduled with the Building Inspections Section, which offers virtual inspections for some work.
Bradenton, Palmetto, Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, Bradenton Beach and Longboat Key issue their own permits. Lakewood Ranch, Parrish, Ellenton and Myakka City are unincorporated and go through the county.
Manatee is the southern edge of our service area; Parrish, Lakewood Ranch and Ellenton are regular stops for our crew.
Lakewood Ranch and Parrish have a lot of newer roofs with solar already on them, which makes insurance-driven reroofs common here. We coordinate with your adjuster's timeline as well as your roofer's. Permit requirements change; we confirm the current checklist with the issuing office on every job.
The sequence
We file the solar permit as soon as your roofing contract is signed, then remove panels, wiring and racking the day before or morning of tear-off. Everything is labeled and staged.
Your roofer works under their own permit. One scheduler on our side tracks the roof's final inspection with them and with you.
All-new attachments and flashings, panels and wiring back, solar inspection passed, system tested and producing the same day. Photo report delivered.
